shadow of war's gameplay is a bit better but shadow of Mordor's story is proably better. granted neither of these games has a very good story from a Tolkein lore POV #5 Showing 1 - 5 of 5 comments
8.Bright Lord’s Hammer. Brighit Lord’s Hammer is one of the harder items to obtain in Shadow Of War. To get it, you have to beat all of the Shadow Of The Past quests with the gold rating. And the effect it has is worth grinding for it. Bright Lord’s Hammer lets your Charged Ranged attacks freeze nearby enemies.
Against Talion, I'd say poison or curse. Poison makes Talion unable to run and disables counter (and dodge?) prompts, while Curse drains Wrath and Focus and disables the minimap. I happen to have nearly a full set of Dark Legendary gear, so I personally skew towards poison.
Combat: Shadow of War is better but its a matter of perspective. Different type of combat systems suiting the respective games. Shadow of War is hack and slash while Origins is a mixture of Dark Souls and Witcher 3. Shadow of War obviously has a more fluid combat system. ps. Nemesis system is dope. Graphics: its a matter of opinion really.
The idea of brutal is that both you and the enemies do increased damage to each other (while gravewalker tends to give you extremely tanky enemies). And yes, eventually (at least in my experience) you can get OP with the right skills and armor but still have to be on your toes cause you still get hit for a ton of damage. hippygrunt101.
I extremely agree with your rant, OP, I did not like the story of Shadow of Mordor and War as well too, as a fellow big Tolkien fan myself, I like the gameplay, the nemesis system aspect of the two games, and tbh the orcs of the two games are better than the main characters, but yeah, the story is not that good.
This game is much more colorful and has lots of contrast, maybe even to a fault. But it’s a great improvement over SoM in almost every department. It is a great game. If you played SoM on the 360, you missed everything that is good about Shadow of Mordor. you need to play SoM first on the Xbox One.
The orcs are the real stars of Shadow of War. Decorated with skulls, piercings, and plates of battered iron armour, these grotesque, toothy brutes sneer, jeer, and brag like rowdy drunks. And before y
Best. Add a Comment. [deleted] • 3 yr. ago. Most people prefer shadow of war if we look at the polls. I think the graphic‘s are playing a role in the judgement of certain players. Same for the design of the orcs who seem less indimidating for those players. The orcs being less unique in the way they are talking.
Brutal difficulty is everything I wanted out of Shadow of War. The game is now truly challenging without crossing the boundary into unfair territory. You are deadly, but so are your enemies. Clever fighting is very rewarding, but on the other hand, not being careful is severely punished. Probably the best new difficulty since Fallout 4's
