I've read mixed posts, some say tou can remove it without removing the turbo, same say different. Has anyone done this before and how difficult a job is it. Given that the EGR valve Is intergrated with the manifold there are 2 problems.. 1.the erg valve gets stuck. 2. it burns out the motor controning it. 3. the bigeset problem The actual vavle is intergrated to the manifold. Just been to the garage to get the leaky cooler gasket replaced and the egr blanked. Driving home I recieved an "Engine Systems Fault" and the little red light on the dash. Checked for DTC codes, nothing showing. Anybody else come across this after disabling the EGR on a 1.8 tdci MK2 ? Blanking plate will not illuminate the eml as the valve will continue to operate.
