These steps are mentioned below: Find the port for the OBD-II scanner, which will be under the dashboard on the driver’s side. After finding, plug-in the scanner into the port. Start the ignition without turning on the engine. Select the model and make of your BMW in the scanner.
The most common signs of bad ignition coils in BMW 3 Series are engine hesitation when accelerating or loss of power, rough idle, misfires, excessive fuel consumption, check engine light illuminates, and sometimes hard starting. In worst case scenario, if the ignition coils are in really bad condition, the engine will not start.

This happens more frequently now pretty much every time I start the car. I checked the battery voltage and it's at ~25 VDC. The car has a disappointing 94,000 miles for all the

Or get a battery charger and charge it overnight === actually new battery chargers will indicate the state of the battery when you connect it up. If the battery don't keep a charge then it is pretty well done..
It is an autophix 7910. I scanned my car after installing the new battery, water pump, and thermostat and pulled up a few codes. The ones that I pulled were : 1. 378F BSD, message (electric coolant pump): Missing 2. 3446 BSD, message (oil-condition sensor): Missing 3. 38A4 Intelligent battery sensor (IBS): communication fault

The voltage should be between 13.5 and 14.8 volts with the engine running. Switch on the accessories in your 3 Series, for example, headlights, AC fan at full speed, and interior lights. The voltage should remain around 14 volts. If it drops and remain below 13.5 volts, it indicates a problem with the current supply from the alternator.
Check the voltage at the battery with a meter. Car off 12.5+ battery is OK. Anything less than 12V resting is a dead battery. Car running charging around 13.5 to 14.4 alternator OK. AGM can be slightly lower charge voltages. Side note, how did you get the voltage displayed in the dash? if the battery age is approaching 5 years on an AGM, replace.
They seem to last about 3-4 years these days When buying a new one make sure it's coded to your car. Failure to code it to your car will result in the battery being overcharged dramatically reducing it's life expectancy. I need a new battery too. Keeps getting those annoying low batt warnings.
Symptoms. Car had all the abs, traction control, brake lights come on. Sent the ABS module away for a rebuild put it back in and cleared the codes had one P0500 and it worked for 2 weeks. Now all the same lights are on and my speedo does not work. As above Im now leaning towards the Rear left wheel sensor.
