Here's how you get if off: 1) Remove all the panel trim clips. 2) Rotate the panel 90 degrees and push it upwards until you get a gap at the top of the door handle unit (sorry, no pic) 3) Right in the middle of the unit is a small lever that you push or pull so you can slide the whole door handle unit to the left and then it pops out (see pic Upper panels all snap in place. the lower panel utilizes bolts. Remove (unsnap) the upper piece off the door, which will show the 2 upper bolts. Side door latch uses 2 10mil head bolts. (there is a cover you need to remove to gain access to them). Pull the door lock panel up & offunplug the connector. 2 bolts down at the bottom. The are 2 cables running to the door release. You have 2 options to free it. 1. remove the cables from the door release. 2. remove the door release from the door. There are 2 plastic clips holding the door release to the door panel. Remove the upper and rear trim pieces by the rear door opening and then each of the rear D pillars un-snap.
